Bio

     I have been training in the martial arts for 36 years and teaching martial arts since 1974. Over the years I have taught people from all walks of life, all ages, men, women and children. I have taught self defense in the secondary school system, privately and to specialty groups and many individuals from many Canadian and U.S. law enforcement agencies.I am the first person in Canada to achieve an 8th degree black belt in the Okinawa style of Isshinryu karate. I teach Isshinryu Karate full time, 6 days a week, with 18 affiliate Isshinryu dojo's across Canada and in the United States. I have promoted this great art as a practitioner, competitor, instructor and coach, and continue to do so with great succusses. Following is a brief outline of accomplishments.

I have been heavily involved in the martial arts for 36 years, and am the first person in Canada to achieve an eighth degree black belt in Isshinryu, in July 2000. All my gradings from the beginning have been done by local, national and international testing boards. I have taught in the secondary school system, in the physical education department, in many area schools for the past 14 years. I have introduced high school students to basic self defense and kickboxing, teaching them how to defend themselves in an appropriate and effective manner. Over the years I have taught many specialty groups such as the Victorian Order of Nurses, and other nursing groups to defend themselves and to restrain patients. I have taught for the Sexual Assault Crisis Center and Dental  assistants of Windsor and Essex county, just to name a few.
     I have also taught many law enforcement individuals and security groups such as, Essex Security, Windsor Police Tactical Unit, Ontario Provincial Police, OPP Essex Detachment Emergency Response Unit, including many individual officers from the Windsor Police, OPP, RCMP, Canadian Customs, Canadian Immigration Intelligence, Canadian Central Intelligence Service, Ontario Corrections officers, Crown Attorney's Office, and United States ATF officer {Alcohol, tobacco, and firearms}
